RESTAURANTS:

Following are TIGA's preferred fine restaurants. We hope you will visit these fine establishments when visiting Taos. We are assured you will have an exceptional dining experience!

    El Meze
"At El Meze Restaurant, I prepare fresh, regionally inspired cuisine from Spain and Northern New Mexico. I call it, “La Comida de las Sierras,” the food of the mountains, fresh trout, jamon, corn and chiles, wild mushrooms from our mountain forests, local organic produce from our small farms. This is how I like to eat and how I like to cook, clean flavors, rustic and simple. These are the flavors I present to you, Spanish cooking that is uniquely American-enjoy!" - Chef Frederick R Muller
Located at the El Torreon Hacienda
    1017 Paseo del Pueblo Norte, El Prado, NM 87571 - P – 575-751-3337

    Lambert's of Taos
Our emphasis at Lambert's has always been on quality and value. Our sauces are made from scratch. Some of them, such as the lamb demi-glace, take days to finish. The vegetables are fresh and local when available. When asked to describe us, the word most often used by our loyal local clientele is 'consistent'.
    309 Paseo del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM 87571 - 575.758.1009 - trg.lamberts@yahoo.com

    The Love Apple
La Pomme D’Amour (The Love Apple), the name the French adoringly gave the tomato in the 16th Century, is a Northern New Mexico Restaurant emphasizing Regional, Organic Home Cooking. We believe in providing our community with
a comforting space to share natural whole sustenance. All products are organic in nature, regional in source & prepared from scratch with intention. We are your local source for affordable, unpretentious, inventive good food.
803 Paseo del Pueblo Norte, Taos, NM 87571 - 575.751.0050
    Trading Post Cafe
Right up the hill from the famous Saint Francis de Assisi Church in Ranchos de Taos is the Historic Trading Post building now housing the Trading Post Café, a definite local favorite. Amidst Vigas, Wrought Iron Furniture and Local Art you may watch acclaimed Chef René prepare flavorful dishes from around the world from his open air kitchen. Have a seat at the bar and watch the action up close or in one of three dining rooms, two with fireplaces. There is also a beautiful back Patio surrounded with flowers and sculpture. Make sure you listen closely to your server for the myriad of Daily Specials. No matter where you sit you're sure to get delicious food and friendly service.
